ShareFile

FTP Compatibility

ShareFile is compatible with most well-known FTP clients.  This means you can connect to your ShareFile account using an FTP program.  You can choose to connect via traditional FTP (port 21) or over an Implicit SSL/TLS connection (port 990).  This is great way for you or your clients to upload and download files to or from a secure location while using your regular FTP program.

Note: To find your login information (server address and username) for the FTP program you will need to login to your ShareFile account and click on the My Settings link in the navigation bar and select FTP Settings.

If you do not see the link for FTP Settings, please contact your administrator to have this feature enabled on your account. This feature can be enabled by clicking on the Admin link in the top navigation bar and Power Tools.

Note: ShareFile supports Secure FTP: FTPS (over SSL) and NOT SFTP (which is over SSH).
