2. A window will pop up asking for a folder name, description (optional) and a drop-down menu to add users. If you select to Don't Add Users, you will be able the only person who can access the folder. If you would like to add a user, select a location from the drop-down menu and then click the Create Folder button.

Note: ShareFile does not allow you to have duplicate folder names on the root of the account or in the same parent folder.

3. The next step allows you to add the users who will have access to the folder by selecting the check box to the left of their name and clicking the Add Selected Users button.

4. The last step involves the permissions the user will have on the folder. You can select to either match the users permissions to an existing user on the folder or configure custom permissions. The available options are download, upload, delete, upload email notifications, download email notification and admin.

Note: an admin on a folder is different then an administrator for the entire account. An admin on a folder means that the user will be able to see and manage the folder access for that particular folder.
